If you have a dehydrator you can make these totally raw, if not, a very low temp on your oven will do or even just out of the mixing bowl because these are seriously yummy!
(Makes about 2 dozen)
- 2 C fresh shredded coconut (or dried coconut +water to moisten)
- 1 C almond flour
- 1/2 C agave nectar
- Slices of fresh strawberries
Combine all ingredients except strawberries.
Now for the fun part. Use your hands to form into small balls and place on cookie sheet or dehydrator sheet.
Bake at 100º for 40 minutes or if you are using a dehydrator, dehydrate at a low (90) temperature for 6 hours.
- 1 C cocoa powder
- 1 C agave nectar
To make chocolate sauce, mix cocoa powder and agave thoroughly.
Drizzle macaroons with chocolate sauce and top with sliced strawberries.
Now try and eat just one.
